About me

In 2014 I returned to Poland from Switzerland where I did PhD in Neuroscience and I decided not to go back to full time research job but instead to focus on my passion for horses and find only part time job. Since 2015 I'm an owner of polish warmblood gelding Hornob, who I call Honcio. At the begging I started working with Honcio with the Straightness Training method developed by Marijke de Jong, and in the fall of 2015 I enrolled in the Mastery Straightness Training course. This course gave me a good theoretical basis of training and knowledge about asymmetry in horses. At that time, I met and made friends with Bettina Biolik (currently the only licensed Academic Art of Riding trainer in Poland https://academicartofriding.pl) and started training according to the Academic Art of Riding method created by Bent Branderup  https://www.bentbranderuptrainer.com . It is definitely a method for me: it is logical, it allows for the multidimensional development of the rider and the horse, as well as their relationships. I was and still am very impressed with this method and the effects that persistent work brings. In 2016/2017 I did a five-month internship with Marius Schneider and Carina Dörfler in Lüdinghausen, Germany. During the internship, I trained with Honcio and I could observe the daily trainings and clinics conducted by Marius and Carina. In Poland, I helped Bettina  in organizing several clinics with Marius Schneider, and I also participated in them with Honcio. At the end of 2017, my daughter Gabi was born, but I'm still trying to find time for training. In July 2019, Bettina and I managed to fulfill our common dream of renting our own stable and creating a place for our horses where they could live in harmony with their natural needs, and we would not have to travel to them an hour one way. Organizing everything took a lot of work, but it also gives us a lot of satisfaction. The idea to create The Art of Riding Store has been sprouting in my head for some time. By creating it, I can use the experience I have gained to choose and design equipment that will work well during training. I also design and manufacture my own cotton ropes for academic groundwork, ropes for work with young horses or natural horsemanship, cotton reins and adjustable cotton cordeo, which I dye in many beautiful colors. They are more comfortable to work with than traditional longe lines, durable and also look nice ;). I hope you appreciate the results of my work.
